Connecticut Artist Fellowships – the Month of March — Curated by Tamari Dmitri, Program Specialist, Art in Public Spaces & Grants

A group of 10 well-known Connecticut poets will be reading original ekphrastic poems inspired by the art of local artists.

The “On the Green” show is held on Hubbard Green, corner of Main & Hubbard Streets in Glastonbury CT. Join us as the Green is transformed into a bustling marketplace where you can browse and buy original fine art and handmade craft. Enjoy live music, poetry readings, and our Food Court.

Poetry based on the architecture in some of Hartford’s iconic buildings. An anthology was created by some of Connecticut’s best known poets, including Dennis Barone who, along with Deborah Ducoff-Barone, edited the anthology.

The anthology is called Of Hartford in Many Lights::Celebrating Hartford’s Buildings.
Venue — Hartford Seminary77 Sherman St, Hartford, CT 06105
The reading begins at 4 and runs until 5 p.m.

More info about Of Hartford in ManyLights — Hartford International University for Religion and Peace to hear authors read poetry and prose from the anthology Of Hartford in Many Lights: Celebrating Hartford’s Buildings. The work includes a poem and a prose description about Hartford International’s Richard Meier-designed building at 77 Sherman Street. Participating authors include Dennis Barone and Deborah Ducoff-Barone, John Stanizzi, Margaret Gibson, Anita Durkin, Clare Rossini, Sharon Charde, David Epstein, and John Long.
